Wales hooker Roberts retires at 28 due to back injury

Wales and Dragons hooker Bradley Roberts announced on Thursday he is retiring from rugby at the age of 28 due to a back injury.
The South African-born Roberts made his debut for Wales in 2021, facing his country of birth.
He had five caps in total for the team and got his only try in the 2023 Six Nations against France at Stade de France.
“My career has been short but very sweet and I look back at this chapter with massive pride and astonishment,” he said in a statement released by the Welsh Rugby Union.
“I have no doubt it will leave me in good stead for whatever life has in store for. If my life so far is anything to go by, I’m sure it will be very exciting.”
